Finding Library Materials

Students, faculty and staff of William Woods University have three options for searching for books and other library materials. For help using the ARTHUR and MOBIUS Library Catalogs, view this tutorial.

ARTHUR Library Catalog
Use ARTHUR to search just for items located at William Woods University, and at the other 5 libraries in the ARTHUR cluster: Columbia College, Lincoln University, Stephens College, Missouri State Library, and Westminster College. ARTHUR contains over 1 million records.

MOBIUS Library Catalog
Use MOBIUS to search for and place online requests for books at other Missouri academic libraries-- over 60 libraries, and over 20 million records in all. Once your request has been placed, it will take approximately 2 to 4 working days for the item to arrive.

WorldCat
WorldCat lists items that are held in libraries all over the United States and around the world. You can place direct requests for books in WorldCat, but count on at least 7-10 working days before the items arrive. We recommend that you search MOBIUS for most of your book searches. WorldCat has over 90 million records.
