William Woods University Owls

Four Owls Added to 2010 Scholar-Athlete List

(FULTON, Mo., June 16)--The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the addition of four William Woods University softball players to the list of 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. Audrey Crabtree, Kelsey Schulte, Kaycee Wyatt and Carinda Schulte join Leslie Taylor and Tara Schulte. Taylor and Tara Schulte were named Scholar-Athletes previously.

 

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

 

Crabtree, a junior from Hallsville, Mo., was also named to the 2010 American Midwest Conference All-Academic team.

 

Kelsey Schulte, a sophomore from Honey Creek, Mo., was also named to the AMC All-Academic team, the AMC player of the year, first team All-AMC and National Fastpitch Coaches Association second team All-Region.

 

Wyatt, a junior from Wathena, Kan., was also named to the AMC All-Academic team.

 

Carinda Schulte, a sophomore from Jefferson City, Mo., was also named to the AMC All-Academic team.
