Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. We are happy to issue news releases announcing your graduation to your hometown, but we request your assistance in making the process easier.
- Please do not put your answers in all caps or all lower case (Jane Doe is the correct way).
- Please put periods after initials (M. is the correct way).
- Please do not include “thank yous.” Newspapers typically will not print them.
- You certainly do not need to answer every question; how much information you include is entirely up to you.
- We ask for your phone number and e-mail address so we can contact you if we have any questions; they will not be included in the news release.
News releases for each newspaper will include the information for all graduates who have requested their information be sent to that paper. News releases will be issued sometime during the two months following commencement. Please be patient. We have to wait for an official graduation list from the Registrar’s Office and then it takes some time to compile the information, put it in news release format and look up the e-mail address for each paper. Even after we issue the releases, we cannot guarantee when your newspaper will run the information.
