| Barbie Banks, a sophomore at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received the Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 23.
She is the daughter of Chuck and Maryanne Banks of Pevely, Mo.
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Banks was honored for her involvement in numerous campus organizations and service projects, including Alpha Chi Omega recording secretary, Panhellenic treasurer, Social Work Club, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity, Theatre Program, Campus Standards Board and community advisor. |
