WWU Hosts Kansas City Dressage Society Riding Camp

6/22/2004 Mary Ann Beahon
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (573) 592-1127

The Kansas City Dressage Society will hold an adult riding camp at William Woods University tomorrow (June 23) through Sunday. WWU has hosted the society’s riding camp every other year for the past 12 years.

“We really appreciate William Woods letting us hold it [the camp] here,” said Linda Durbin, this year’s camp coordinator. “Everything always turns out really nice.”

There are 27 riders participating in the society’s riding program. The camp is open to all adults, and already has an age range of 18 to 40.

The cost for this year’s camp is $650, which includes room and board on the university’s campus, two daily classes and stabling for horses. Participants are expected to bring their own horses; the university will not provide horses this year.

For more information on the riding camp and/or the Kansas City Dressage Society, contact Durbin at (913) 757-2749.
